Risk and Info-Sharing Conference -- 30 March 2010

SARMA and GMU's Center for Infrastructure Protection are cohosting a one-day conference on "The Relevance of Risk Management and Information Sharing to Homeland Security."
We are pleased to announce that retired Air Force Gen. Michael Hayden (pictured, right), former CIA Director and head of the National Security Agency, will deliver closing comments at the conference, to be held in Arlington, Virginia, on Tuesday March 30th.
This one-day conference, which is sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, will also feature keynote addresses by:
- Michael Blinde, Staff Director of the House Homeland Security Committee's Subcommittee on Intelligence, Information Sharing and Terrorism Risk Assessment; and
- David Maurer, Director of the Homeland Security and Justice team at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO).
These well-regarded individuals will be joined by over a dozen expert panelists from government, academia and the private sector to address the conference's main themes. The two morning panel discussions will examine selected aspects of security risk management, including federal programs and cyber security, while the two afternoon panels will be devoted to information-sharing policies, practices and lessons learned -- capped with Gen Hayden's perspectives on the intelligence community, and followed immediately by a networking reception.
